P3.18 Gallimaufry
With so much extensively-researched and carefully-structured long-form writing, we’ll occasionally need to change things up and act like we’re writing on the Internet. In those moments, particularly after the end of a bigger story, we’ll publish a Gallimaufry.
“Gallimaufry” is a delightful word we first learned from reading one of baseball’s greatest blogs, Fire Joe Morgan. A gallimaufry is a jumble, a confused medley of disparate things, and after three weeks of tight, organized writing, we’ll cut loose for our final post before the calendar flips.
A P3.18 Gallimaufry might include any of the following:
Relevant news and commentary
Non-baseball stories
Thoughts on writing, or history
Reader submissions
Personal anecdotes or reminisces
Very short subject pieces
Weird ads we find reading back issues of the Sporting News
Anything else (you’ve been warned)
