If I may—Lu Blue is not only one of the all-time great baseball names, but he was also a pretty darned good player. Kind of comparable to Luis Arraez. Lower BA than Arraez, but with a lot more walks and a lot more runs scored.
You certainly may. 37 WAR in a 13 year career. Some of our great namers are mostly trading on the name--we've got one of those coming in Part 2--but Lu Blue was a dude.
