Somewhere, George Steinbrenner is still mad he never got a chance to do this. I rather miss the days (the 1970s and 80s, really) when MLB owners were characters.

Steinbrenner gave plenty of "needles" in his day, but never this many at once. The closest he came was showing up the umpires by replaying missed calls on the video board, until the league put a stop to it.

...I'm realizing that Kroc's phrase for golf-buddy ribbing has aged like fine milk.

Now he knows how we feel when you put down an excessive amount of money for a Fish Filet and you see the cheese is not only half a slice but as in his cheeseburgers it is SO thin you can see thru it.

HA! Sorry Ray - guess you can’t ‘have it your way.’

Expectations can make or break every experience. When I order chicken McNuggets, I know what' I'm getting into, and I'm happy. When Kroc bought the 1970s Padres he seems to have misunderstood what menu he was ordering off of.

If Ray Kroc had never seen such stupid ballplaying in all his life, he wasn't really paying attention at Wrigley Field in the 1940's. . .and the 1950's. . .and the 1960's.

He saw the College of Coaches, for crying out loud!
