When my kids were little their teachers talked about how they shouldn't "yuck someone else's yum." I try to keep to that practice as an adult but this time I couldn't help it. But who am I to cast stones--I had a late 90s Pistons Grant Hill jersey solely because I liked the sea-foam green revamp.

One day I'm going to get them to put together a whole display of things I've covered here. Yellow ball, Brooklyn Safety cap, magic bat, the list goes on and on.
You have a point about those Angels uni’s! I look back at some of the uni’s in the 70’s and 80’s and they were kind of tacky, too! They had the ones that were a sans-a-belt version and that was not a good look! I’m glad that bat is in Cooperstown; what a great story. I haven’t heard Rod Carew’s name for a long time. Enjoyable as always, Paul!
I grew up on the late 80's/early 90's uniforms and those are the classic for me. I also think the salmon red and white they've used for the last 20+ years are great, a modern classic. I loved that this zany little moment traced back to Rod Carew, that really made it.
Maybe the Angels should have considered putting Carew in the lineup - that dude could hit.

My favorite green is Sea Foam. I wish I had eyes that color instead of hazel/green. But then what would I put down on my driver's license?
